What to Pack for a Week on a Sailboat

Packing for a sailing holiday is different from packing for a hotel. Cabins are cosy, storage is clever but limited, and you will spend most of the day in swimwear anyway. Here is what we recommend.

Bring a soft bag

Please use soft, foldable bags instead of hard suitcases – they fold flat and fit easily into the cabin lockers.

Our packing list

  • Swimwear (more than one!) and a light cover-up
  • Clean, non-marking boat shoes or deck shoes
  • Sun hat, sunglasses and reef-safe sun cream
  • A light jacket or sweater for evenings and windy passages
  • Your own snorkel mask if you have one
  • Passports or ID for everyone on board – and your sailing licence for bareboat charters
  • Phone chargers (12 V / USB) and a small dry bag
  • Any personal medication and seasickness tablets, just in case

Already on board

Bed linen, towels, a fully equipped galley, a snorkelling mask and a dinghy are waiting for you. An outboard engine for the dinghy and a SUP board can be added as extras.

If you like, we can also stock the boat with groceries before you arrive – so your first evening at anchor can start straight away.
